We are proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Retero GmbH!
The story of Retero began with a bold decision: in 2004, after being laid off just two years before retirement, Helmut Retter seized a unique opportunity. He acquired the toolmaking workshop of his former employer, Sinar, and founded Retero GmbH together with his son Jürgen.
The name says it all: Retter + Erosion = Retero
What started as a bold step into self-employment quickly developed into a specialized contract manufacturing company, thanks to Helmut’s technical ingenuity and Jürgen’s business expertise. With a small but highly qualified team, Retero focused on a niche right from the start: micro-machining, particularly fine wire EDM, where the tightest tolerances are essential.
Today, 20 years later, Retero GmbH is a trusted partner in the watchmaking industry, medical technology, mold making and other high-end sectors. The company is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified and stands for the highest level of precision supported by state-of-the-art technology.
The Third Generation Is Ready
The success story continues: with Joël and Sascha, Jürgen’s sons, the third generation is already active in the company. Equipped with thorough training and a deep understanding of the company's values, they are gradually taking on greater responsibility.
