What is milling?
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about milling. Find out more about the process, its advantages and possible applications as well as important technical details.
Milling is a machining process in which material is removed by a rotating cutting tool to create the desired shape. The result is precise components with defined three-dimensional geometries and a high-quality surface finish.
Our CNC milling machines guide the tool precisely across the workpiece to remove chips. The controlled interaction of feed rate, cutting depth and spindle speed ensures optimal machining results.
Milling offers a high degree of design flexibility and can be used on a wide range of materials. It is characterized by a high material removal rate, making it an efficient process for larger volumes or applications where surface finish requirements are less critical.
Typical milling applications
Production of high-precision electrodes for our die-sinking EDM.
Production of test gauges and clamping fixtures.
Production of stamping and bending tool parts.
Precision milling of prototypes, individual parts and small batches.
We guarantee the highest accuracy and quality.

Questions and answers
3D milling is a machining process in which workpieces are machined in all three spatial directions (X, Y and Z). This is achieved by the dynamic movement of the three axes of our milling machines. This movement makes it possible to mill both concave and convex contours with high precision. A computer provides the commands for the desired workpiece design, and our CNC and NC milling machines implement these commands with extreme precision.
Our CNC and NC milling machines are versatile and can process a wide range of materials. These include metals such as steel and aluminum, plastics, composites and much more. The choice of material depends on the requirements of your project and we will be happy to advise you on the most suitable material.
CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) and NC (Numerical Control) both refer to computer-controlled milling machines, but there are some differences. CNC machines are usually more advanced and offer more control over the movement of the machine tool. NC machines are somewhat simpler and often require manual input of commands. The choice between the two depends on the requirements of your project, and we use both types to machine a wide range of jobs.
Precision is crucial, especially in the production of micro parts. Even the slightest deviation from the specified dimensions can have a significant impact on the quality and functionality of the parts. Our 3D milling technology enables the highest possible precision and we use it to ensure that all manufactured parts meet strict quality standards.
3D milling is used in a wide range of applications and industries. Examples include aerospace, the automotive industry, medical technology, electronics manufacturing, jewelry manufacturing and many others. It is an extremely versatile process that is suitable for complex workpieces and precision components in various industries.
We offer various surface finishing options directly on our milling machines. These include polishing, grinding and texturing surfaces to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional properties. Surface finishing can significantly improve the final quality of workpieces and is an important step in our manufacturing process.
3D milling offers several advantages, including high precision, the ability to produce complex geometries, efficient mass production and the ability to machine a variety of materials. It also enables the production of high-precision micro parts, making it indispensable in precision engineering. Our CNC and NC milling technology enables us to make the most of these advantages and achieve first-class results.
